Will earned his Bachelor's Degree, Cum Laude, from Cornell College, double majoring in Philosophy and Communication Studies, in 1999. During his time in college, Will was a member of Cornell's Speech Team, and he was rated as one of the sixteen best impromptu speakers in the nation at the American Forensic Association National Individual Events Tournament.
Will next graduated from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 2002, one of the top ten law schools in the country. While a student at Northwestern, Will earned a dual concentration in 'Litigation & Dispute Resolution' and 'Law & Social Policy'. Will was a member of the Student Bar Association, and was also a member of the Northwestern Trial Team. In 2002, Will and his team won the National Championship at the National Trial Competition, hosted by the Texas Young Lawyers' Association. Will's team took first place overall against a field of more than 300 teams from more than 200 American law schools. During the tournament, Will also awarded the Kraft W. Eidman Award as the tournament's best overall advocate for 2002.
After graduation from law school, Will worked for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in criminal appeals and then in the misdemeanor trial division. In 2006, Will took a job with the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office, where he was assigned to the misdemeanor trial division, felony review division, and felony narcotics division. At the time that he left his job with the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office, Will was the Narcotics Unit Supervisor, and he was ultimately responsible for every felony narcotics prosecution in the county.
Also of interest is that Will earned a Master of Theological Studies degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the Institute of Pastoral Theology at Ave Maria University, in 2010. At the IPT, Will studied Canon Law, Fundamental Theology, and Philosophical Anthropology.
Since 2008, Will has enjoyed working directly with clients, first as the owner and lead counsel of The Wm. J. Dennison Law Center, and then as the Managing Partner of The Law Office of Hiera & Dennison, LLC. He lives with his wife and children in McHenry County, Illinois.
